Are Your Vet Clinic’s Prices To High?
Recently I was talking with a few of my vet tech friends about prices and we talked about how high some of the prices seemed to be even for a basic exam. We also talked about how everyone was underpaid the way it was.
I remember doing an internship in one vet clinic and the vet tech told the vet that if she bought her pet there, she could not afford it based on her salary.
So are the prices to high?
The price of owning a pet is definitely going up along with prices for everything else. I think the bottom line is that it is no surprise how expensive medical care is and if you accept responsibility for an animal you have to have the financial ability to care for it.
Pet insurance is also available at all of our vet clinics, and that is a great way we save money on my pets.
I try to recommend pet insurance for most people. Some people are grateful and some people just think that it is a scam.
One other thing that bothers me is how can someone spend $1600 on a dog and then complain about a $90 vet bill?
